Alumni Achievements at the Qiskit Global Summer School 2026

In September 2026, two students whose quantum computing path started at FreeYa Mind Campus completed the Qiskit Global Summer School 2026 organized by IBM, each earning the Quantum Excellence badge (advanced level).

Cosmin-Ștefan Pandelea – Computer Engineering student, TUIASI
Oct 2025 – first contact with quantum computing at the Qiskit Fall Fest Hackathon, FreeYa Mind Campus; among the winners
Sep 2026 – QGSS 2026 completed with the Quantum Excellence badge (two weeks of hands-on Qiskit labs, from quantum states and gates to algorithms)

Alexandru Picioroagă
Oct 2025 – 1st place, Quantum Chemistry track, Qiskit Fall Fest Hackathon (MoleQule, with Carla Cotea and Naomi Laura Badelita)
Jan 2026 – completed the 2nd edition of R2P; Team Converters ranked 2nd in the capstone project
Sep 2026 – QGSS 2026 completed with the Quantum Excellence badge, all assignments completed
